Financial FreedomPeople are talking to me about the lack of opportunity for their children. Everyone normally expects to have their children have as good or better opportunities than they had. For the most part it just isn't true. Many children are finishing their tertiary education with significant student loans along with entry level jobs that don't pay very well.
Those families with a business at home are faring better than those without it. And those few students with a profitable online business are really doing well. They are able to get an education and earn a good living at the same time. Able to spend time with their business everyday, as once established an online business can often be run on just a few hours a day and have an excellent return. The time can be organized to fit the student's schedule. The student will not have to work at a time to suit his employer but can work at his online business at a time that suits him or her.
Same would apply to an older worker who is already in the work force. Your online business can fit around your full time or part time job. So you are able to do both without any interference. Then you have choices in your life much earlier than you might have without your business from home.

Younger people often tell me that finanical freedom to them would mean being able to spend much time with their family. Often young children go to paid sitters or child care centers. These child care centers are usually well regulated by government to see that they are safe, and the children are getting programing suitable for their ability. These child care spaces are hard to get and often expensive so that many young families must leave their children in places they may not be confident about. They have to work, they need a space, often the young family feel they have no options.
One option would be for the family to have at least one adult start a home business. Many families are going this direction so as soon as the business begins to product income one of them does that business on a full time basis, in effect doing two jobs, child care and the business. Keeping these separated is a problem. If the children need you, they need you then. You may write your blog later, or place your phone calls at a different time.

Financial freedom is something everyone seeks. It means different things to different people. Some work for years and finish with a pension and government money when they finally retire. They have put money aside and feel secure that they can live reasonably as they grow older.
